Localism, Foreign Policy and the Military

As I continue to become more and more influenced by localism and the likes of writers like Wendell Berry and the guys at the Front Porch, I am finding more areas in which the principles of localism come into play.

Here is a thoughtful piece by Ron Paul from the Washington Times online concerning the historic "conservative" position on foreign policy and the use of the military. His position on the proper use of the military fits well with a localist position on economics and politics. His position is that we need to be taking care of things locally (America) instead of trying to police things globally.

Check it out.
